A herniated disc refers to a problem with one of the rubber pads located between the bones that make up the spine.
A disc has a soft, gelatinous center surrounded by a harder, rubbery shell. Sometimes called a herniated disc or herniated disc, a herniated disc occurs when part of the nucleus is pushed out through a tear in the annulus.
A herniated disc, which can occur anywhere in the spine, most commonly occurs in the lower back. Depending on where the herniated disc is located, it can cause pain, numbness, or weakness in an arm or leg.
